Vegan Mac and Cheese

We are always surprised, how quick and easy it is to throw our Vegan Mac and Cheese together. A true comfort in a bowl: luscious sauce, cheesy, with a bit of a texture from nutritional yeast. Your new staple meal? :)

PS Our nutritional yeast is non-fortified, which means we have not added any synthetic vitamins that are not naturally occurring in nutritional yeast.

Servings: 4  

  • 1 cup (250 g) your favourite pasta
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying
  • 1 tsp paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cup (about 400-500 ml) milk / vegan milk
  • 1/2 cup (30-40 g) LOOV Organic Nutritional Yeast Flakes

1. Cook pasta.

2. In a large pan over medium heat add oil and chopped onion.

3. Cook a little bit and then add chopped garlic, paprika powder, flour and stir until combined.

4. Slowly add in milk and whisk.

5. Cook about 3 minutes until thickened.

6. Add nutritional yeast and whisk to combine.

7. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and combine. If it is a little dry, add milk, and some extra nutritional yeast on top for that extra cheesy mouthfeel.

8. Serve and enjoy!
